Mark your Calendar for Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration
Richmond’s second annual Indigenous Peoples' Day event will be held on Monday afternoon, October 14, at Powhatan's Hill Park in Fulton Bottom.
Last year, St. John’s was the faith sponsor of the event, and Bishop Harris of the Diocese of Virginia was a featured speaker.
This year, we are continuing our commitment, and we encourage your participation. While activities will run from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., the celebration will officially "kick off" at 4:15 p.m., with speakers, music, dancing, and meal fellowship.
It is anticipated that 10 of our local tribes will be represented. A comprehensive flyer with all event details is available here, with additional educational materials to follow.
